It is our avid anticipation that Ghanaians in and around Hamburg shall gather all human and financial resource to make Ghana Union Hamburg a formidable and an enviable organization.
We no longer want to be boasting of organizing best parties and funerals in town, but having the most functional Ghana Union in Germany which seeks to consolidate and strengthen the position of Ghanaians living in Hamburg and the rest of Germany.
Award Winners:
The executives of the Union honored the following for their outstanding services to the Ghana community in Hamburg.
Opanin Koo Kusi, social commentator, Nana Krobea Asantewaa, queen mother of Mampong community in Hamburg, Mr. Paul Osei Bediako, a philanthropist and CEO of Malata Markt, Nana Owusuwaa Nprengo, Bohyenhemaa of Kumasi – Ghana and leader of the community Hamburg and Mr. Dwamena Yeboah a community leader.
Funeral Committee:
A funeral committee has been formed, and even though most critics find it very ridiculous, I think this is a step in the right direction. The leadership therefore believes it is the most appropriate channel for reaching the majority; the Ghana community loves the dead and cherishes funerals. The committee shall be responsible for all funeral arrangements for Ghanaians in Hamburg. It is also agreed that Ghanaians -/Registered members shall be paying a token fee of €5 per death.
Members:
Nana Korankye Kwatei (Chairman) Opanin Koo Kusi (PRO) , Richard Opoku Kwarteng, Edward Peprah Ampratwum, Georgina Hoelbe, Kwadjo Sarpong, Elder Emmanuel Ampang, Gladys Wurtz & Juliana Serwaa. The money shall be used to support the deceased family in organizing the funeral. Only registered members shall be helped.
The community leaders argue the money is needed to obtain the dead body from the state, which is most often been responsible for the burial arrangements. Unconfirmed information reaching TopAfric indicates the deceased body is subjected to experiments’ and the body parts removed. TopAfric is currently researching, and therefore requesting family members to provide us with the needed proof.
Registration & ID Cards:
A registration exercise and issuance of Identity Cards has commenced, all Ghanaians should contact the leadership of Ghana Union or the office of TopAfric (Wandsbeker Chaussee 15, 22089 Hamburg).
Conclusion:
We are confident of success, because we live in one of the best cities in the world; amongst the most intelligent people on earth. Curing Tribalism & Ethnicity and believing in Education & Competence. Been patriotic to Ghana! Not the NPP or NDC. The rest is Copy & Paste. “Plagiarism is part of humanity”.God Bless Africa! Bless Germany!
